We are a team of professional storytellers & journalists; a dedicated crew of truth-seekers striving to expose the humanity that lies at the center of every story.
Madrona Productions was founded by veteran filmmakers Jamila Ephron and Greg Blanc. Our mission is to create films that provoke thought, inspire empathy and foster a greater understanding of shared humanity. From historical documentaries and biographical films, to deeper looks at today's news and long-ranging, verité-style documentaries, we prioritize compassionate storytelling while also delivering films backed by thorough research.
At Madrona, we don't shy away from challenging stories about complicated people or histories. We approach every film with empathy at the forefront and believe that a well-told story can bridge gaps in a fraught world.
